Project Brief
As per client brief, the purpose of the logo is to represent a range of textiles suited primarily for a wholesale/distribution market and clientele.
Concept
The logo is constructed purely of vector graphics that are bound to one linear path with a transparent background that will fill from the colour of the substrate to which it is applied.
The Graphic Element
The graphic created is a symbolic of royalty that can be visually construed as a crown. The geometric direction and pattern of the vectors used represent the tangents that could be used in weaving certain designs on fabrics, and the light density of the lines and text represent a thread.
Crown Symbology
Besides having represented the symbol of monarchies throughout the ages, the visual effect of a crown symbol creates a sense of trust, quality, and superiority when applied to trademarks and brands.
The crown, and what it represents, is also recognisable and respected within almost every modern and primitive culture on earth. The use of crown symbols also carries a very strong history and tradition in being applied to a wide variety of organisations, businesses and brands, and will remain relevant throughout the ages.
Colour
The logo uses one colour as a background. This should be either the base gold colour on light surfaces, as specified, or a 50% tint of black on dark or light surfaces for greyscale application.
